Abby's birthday celebration at school

Update...

What a month!
I was in the process of a post but had to save it and if I go back to it, it will be WAY too long!! So here is the condensed version.

Abby's Birthday!! It was fun, she got sick, but still had a good time.

Spring Break! We got to go to Lafayette for a few days and I thought Abby was over her sickness, little did I know, it was just beginning. I was dead sick all break and Abby was in recovery. So, we spent spring break at home, but still had a nice break.

School-is killing me! This is actually the reason I haven't been able to update. It seems like all my professors decided to save all our projects till the last three weeks of school!! I have got my two biggest speeches (worth the most points), ethics paper, ethics test and ethics group presentation, two accounting tests, and two computer tests all in the next two weeks!! I mean-come on!! It is extra hard because my Mom is in Seattle visiting the BABY!! Thats right!!

Mom and baby are doing wonderfully!! The induced Rachel on April fools day @ 5am and shortly after, she was here!! She is so beautiful! I'll post pictures!

So, my Mom left this morning and will be gone till the 27th. Almost three weeks! I'm so glad shes out there, but she is greatly missed at home! (and its only the first day) My Dad flies out on the 16th till the 27th. It is just craziness-trying to get everything taken care of for Abby and school and life! But I did go to the temple before she left (I was really stressing about it!!) and I know everything will be just fine.

Well, Abby's asleep, so I need to get studying!

Hopefully I'll have a post after the 27th, that means I survived it all!

(Side note-I also get to spend Easter alone. Abby will be at her Dad's, Mom's in Seattle and Dad's on high council.) :(

Up the nose...

So, I think that most kids have to go thought the "object up the nose" phase, well Abby got hers out of the way this week. She is really into beading right now and I guess she thought she would see if it would fit, yep it did. After she put it UP there she went in to the bathroom and tried to blow it out and since that wasn't working she came into Grandma crying, terrified of how I would react, and told Grandma the story! So, Mom came in and told me, while Abby was crying, and we tried more blowing so nothing was working so I went to call the doctor and Mom got a flashlight and looked up and could see it, so we just had her blow a few more times, and it came out. So, luckily no trips to the doctors or to the ER. So, we've gotten the hair cutting and the object up the nose done with. I hope there aren't any more!!

Visiting Teaching

I don't know why but I just feel really good tonight. I was blessed with the wonderful opportunity to do service tonight. Monica Romney needed a babysitter tonight for Eli and Denise needed someone for Grayson and I jumped at the opportunity and I'm really not quite sure, I wasn't too excited. I had a blast tonight. Abby and Eli and Grayson had such a good time. Both Romney's were able to go out and celebrate Monica's birthday and it was just good for me. That sounds selfish and maybe it is but I'm so glad that I was able to do that. Things have been extremely hard right now for me, the hardest they've been in a while, and tonight I just forgot all those problems and had fun. Abby had someone to play with and it was just a good night. I really felt the spirit more than I have in a long time tonight and I'm so happy for that. So, I just wanted to post that. I love my calling as a visiting teacher. (I'm Monica's visiting teacher). We just got a new route and I'm loving getting to know each one of my ladies and how awesome they are!! It really has been an incredible blessing in my life and I'm thankful for it!!

I know I said I would do a post last night, but it got too late. This post can't be long because I'm working on a paper and a speech that are both due tomorrow, so hopefully tomorrow I will have time to do a real post! Things are going fine here. Really busy with school and taking care of Abby. Her birthday and spring break are this month! Excited about both, I'll need spring break to get me ready for April. That is going to be such a hard month!! With Mom and Dad both going to Seattle, it will be hard to figure out schedules for Abby and I with classes, mostly because it's finals!!! Can't really miss those, so we'll see how it all plays out. More about April tomorrow, I have to get back to work!!
