The Purple Promise

Today was my last day at FedEx! Hallelujah! It was kind of sad though, I made some good friends. But come Monday morning at 3am, I don't think I'll feel that sad anymore.
Today we are baking a few things to help my Mom. She has been working on a activity for the Activity Day Girls, for over a month now! She gets a little (and when I say a little, I mean A LOT) obsessed and overwhelmed. So anyway we are baking for that today and maybe going to a baseball game tonight.
gggggggggooooooooooooooooooooooo BATS!!

FOREVER

so I know it's been almost a year since I've posted anything, but hey!! Life gets busy!!! :) So I've been worried about how to catch up, but I'm not going to worry about that. I'm going to pick up today.
I just finished my summer school yesterday and now I've got two weeks of summer vacation!! Well kind of, Abby starts school next Thursday and I start on the 23rd. It will be nice to just be a stay at home mom for two weeks!! I've missed it SO much!
Life is good. I've had a summer job working at FedEx as a package handler, loading trucks. It's been ok. I'm working the 3am-8am shift so that's different. Tomorrow's my last day and I am SO EXCITED!
YW"s is keeping my busy with what spare time I do have!
I'm planning on rearranging rooms for one of my weeks off and maybe some sewing projects for my other week! Yes...I said sewing. I've got a couple SIMPLE things I want to work on.
That's life for now...BUSY. Hopefully I'll become better at blogging (I really want to). I'm not good at picture taking, so there won't be too much excitement here!
Yay for SUMMER! (NOT the heat!)

...i don't even have a title for this post...

Abby had her surgery last Friday (the 4th) and was recovering. My parents flew out Sunday morning for their trip to California.
(I am tired beyond belief so this will be short)

Day 1: Monday, Abby was still recovering and was beginning to have a lot of pain. She wasn't eating or drinking. Eventually...she became dehydrated. I had a final Monday night so after that I came home and we ended up going to the ER. (she started throwing up earlier in the day and had a few times). She got and IV and got liquids then we came home around midnight.

Day 2: Tuesday, luckly I didn't have any finals that day. We just spent it at home trying to recover and get Abby to eat and drink. I was also studying and writing a few papers for school due Wednesday. Abby had her follow up appointment and he said all was healing well.

Day 3: Wednesday, with all that was happening with Abby I felt bad sending her to a babysitter so her Dad came and stayed with her while I finished my finals. I left about 12:30 and was done by 4. Done with School!!!!! WoooHooo!! I think we stayed home to celebrate.

Day 4: Thursday, things were getting better. She was eating and drinking better.

Day 5: Friday. We were becoming stir crazy and wanted to get out of the house. We ran a few errands then went and saw The Frog Princess, which we LOVED, then went to dinner.

Since Wednesday Abby's ears have also been hurting (normal because the nerves are connected to throat) so she has been having to have her pain medicine every four hours or her ears and throat get bad.

Friday night around midnight it was time for her pain dose so I was getting it ready and heard her up, so I figured the pain woke her up and she was coming to get me. I begin to walk up the stairs and hear her throw up and I was not happy about that. I did not want her to get dehydrated again. I felt so bad. I turn the stairs and see Kaydee (our puppy) licking blood off the carpet and I walk into my room and see Abby knelt over the garbage with BLOOD everywhere!!! It was bright red and there was so much!! And it kept coming. She was vomiting blood! I FREAKED OUT!!!!! I ran to her and helped her finish then jumped in the car and spead to the ER. We walked right in and she went right back. She had blood all over her chin and her neck and her pj's. Long story short, we got admitted and were there till last night. They are thinking it was a scab (a big one) that came off. so. much. blood. It was one of the scariest moments of my life. While we were in the ER she fell back asleep and I sat there, Georgia Dalby and Morgan came and sat with me. My parents were gone. Scariest moment ever. She had blood everywhere! Oh my. Finally we went up to her room around 4am and got to sleep till about 7am when they came for blood work. The doctor came around 8am and said that there was no fresh blood but wanted to keep her to make sure she would eat and drink. We got to come home around 6:30 pm Saturday.

What a week. Finals. 2 ER visits and a hospital stay. All by ourselves.

I'm tired and glad I'm done with school. Abby has been out of school for I'm not sure how long. This has been on and off since mid October. I'm ready for her to feel better.

Mothers should never have to do this!!

Abby had her tonsillectomy today. Going in it was good! We were both calm. We got back there and she got weighed in and measured...
5 Years 9 Months
47lbs
45 1/2 inches
The nurse asked if I wanted her to have a sedative to help with the IV. Since the hospital and being sick so much she is not a fan of shots! (she has had quite a few lately!) so I asked Abby if she was nervous at all and she said yes and plus it was early so we went ahead and had a cherry sedative. Gave her a few minutes for that to start working then came back to get her hooked up to the IV. The nurse gave her a numbing shot then injected her IV. Took vitals and got hooked up on all her machines. After the nurse left, Grandma was able to come back and sit with us. Abby got SO goofy! With being tired and the sedative she was so silly!! We joked, laughed read a few books then they came to get her. I gave her a kiss and she was off. I waited in the waiting room and worked on some homework.

About 40 minutes later....the Doctor came out and gave me a report and everything went fine!
5 minutes after the Doctor left the nurse came and said I could go see her now....that's when it

ALL fell apart!...

I walked back there and a nurse was holding her with blankets and she still had her IV in (they wanted it in until right when we left, to have access if needed) so I came in and sat down and they handed her to me. She was SO so so so SAD and in SO much pain!! She was still really groggy from being under. She had a little blood out of her nose and the nurse said that's normal, since they take the adenoids out their nose. All Abby wanted to do was go home. She was still really out of it and could not sit still and just kept saying she wanted to go home. I tried to hold her still for a little while I talked to the nurse. She kept crying and she sounded SO bad! You could just tell she was in SO much pain. She sounded like she had a huge lump in her throat!! The nurse was talking about, if she throws up blood and stuff like that, its normal. Abby keeps squirming and crying then finally......I lost it!!! I felt SO sick! I asked the nurse if they had something to throw up in and it was coming!! I got so faint!!! I just felt the life sucked out of me!! I became white as a ghost and nauseous and dizzy!! The nurse ran and got the other nurse that was helping. One held Abby and the other layed the chair back and got a compress for me and I had to have some Sprite to. I was laying there with my eyes closed trying SO hard to stay there (mentally, not passing out!!!) I got so cold and sweaty! Finally the nurse had to go get oxygen for me! I was SO embarrassed!!! I felt like SUCH A HORRIBLE MOTHER! Here I am, supposed to be taking care of my child who is in so much pain and I freak out!!! It. was. awful. Finally after about 20 minutes I got composure and was ok. THEN....I started crying!!! These nurses must think I'm some sort of loony, unfit, horrible Mother!!! They did keep reassuring me this wasn't the first time and that they both have kids and know what it's like. NO mother should have to see their child in SO much pain!! NEVER!!!

So....finally I got it under control and was able to drive home. Got Abby home and got her pain medicine and shes doing MUCH better now. I still have a hard time dealing with it.
These past few months have been SO hard with her being sick so much. All the doctors visits and shots, and IVs and blood work and pain....I'm just glad it will all be over soon! I know this was the right thing to do and it will pass, but it is by far one of the hardest things I've had to do!

I did take a few pictures before, but they were with my phone, I think I can get them on the computer, but I'm not sure, I'll try.

Ooh La La!

He can play the piano and sing to me anytime!

I LOVE movies!

There are SO many GOOD movies out right now and SO many more coming in December!! I LOVE IT!

MY past month!

What a month!! MAN! With my Mom then Abby it has been a emotional roller coaster!! Well, luckily for me, I never got sick! BUT I did miss a lot of school while I was with Abby. And by a lot, that's an understatement! Thankfully, my professors have been very understanding (for the most part!). So that pretty much sums up my past month! School, homework, papers, tests, taking care of Abby, more homework a few more tests and a lot more school.
While Abby was in the hospital I luckily only missed one test that I can make up at the end of the semester which is in two weeks!
I am currently working on three papers that are due this week. Then this Friday Abby gets her tonsils out! I'm happy and sad about that. Happy because I know it will make her feel SO much better and sad because I know it hurts! She gets that done Friday, then on Sunday, my parents fly out to California for a week! THEN..Monday I have a final, Wednesday I have a final and Thursday is my make up test! This means I have to find a babysitter for these days but luckily it's only for about an hour. I just go and take my test, but the bad thing is I'm not sure how Abby is going to feel with just having her tonsils out. We'll see how that goes. I'm nervous about that, but praying it will work out.
That's about the jist of my life right now. Trying to make it through the next two weeks then it's Christmas Break!! I'M READY!! There have recently been some other things come into the mix of my life (first post) that I will be concerned about, but I have faith! The Lord is by my side!
I think that's about it! Just school! I have no social life let alone dating life. So nothing there. (I can't think of someone wanting to date me anyways!)
So, I probably won't post till schools out (DECEMBER 10TH-LAST TEST) but I will if something happens!!! Hope everyone is doing WONDERFULLY and had a great Thanksgiving!! I have SO much to be thankful for!! haha-and I'm thankful for all of it!
