This one's for Kathy...

So, I got in trouble in church today (again) for not updating. ;) So I told Kathy I would today and since it's almost tomorrow I figured I should get busy!! (a good excuse to take a break from homework!)

Lets see...where did I leave off...
I think last time we spoke Abby was in Utah at my grandma's 90th birthday. Well she's home now and had a great time! I think it was a little long, but she made it. (for those of you reading this that are family members, someone better post some pictures of the party!! My mom didn't take any, I want to see how gingerbread went!! ;))
November was a CRAZY month!! First Abby was sick with the Flu/Strep thingy then she went to Utah then when she got home on Wednesday night she went to her dad's that Friday. When she got home Sunday she was ok, pretty exhausted but on Monday she was sick again. She threw up all day Monday and was recovering on Tuesday then went back to her dad's Wednesday night for Thanksgiving. SO for the month of November she went to school a total of maybe a week! I'm ready to get back on a regular schedule!!! We won't be till next year though. We have two weeks in December where things are normal schedule with her visiting her dad, but we are SO busy those two weeks! I have finals, we have church stuff, Christmas things....Our calender is full!!
Lets see, what else is new. While Abby was away I played! I got to go to a Young Single Adult concert in Lexington. That was fun. I made some new friends and met a Mormon Rapper!! (a cute one at that!) I also got the opportunity to listen to an apostle of the Lord. Elder Richard G. Scott. That was pretty awesome!! Of course he talked about marriage. It was a YSA group he was talking too. ;) For those of you who are unaware we are currently having a drought in the male/female dating situation in the area right now. It's been going on for a while. The guys aren't asking. We've had many general authorities come and speak to us, but my feelings are that we can have hundreds of people come and talk to us, even the prophet but what it really comes down to is US. The guys are the ones who are going to have to make the decision to ask, no one can make them. I do sympathize with them though. It's a big responsibility, first to ask a girl out, then take her out. Plus the whole idea of marriage. Being responsible for taking care of your family, its a big load. But the Lord won't give us anything that he knows we can't handle!....with that said...I am ready to date! That doesn't mean I want anything serious, I still want to take care of a lot of things for myself, but it wouldn't hurt to know that dating is an option! ;) But in the mean time, I get a chance to focus on school!
School...I have finals this week and next. I'm done on December 9Th! SO STOKED! I don't go back till January 12Th (i think) I'm SO ready for the break!! I am taking five classes next semester, 15hrs. It should be fun!!
Business Accounting
Math
Public Speaking
Computers
Philosophy of Ethics
Fun times!!
Christmas!! Mike is coming soon and I really can't wait!! I'm so excited to have him back home. I miss him so much. I really don't think he knows how much our relationship means to me! Plus I get to see my nephew, Skyler and my totally awesome sister-in-law Rachel who will be 5 months prego, with my niece Brooklyn Jade!!!!!!!!! :) I really can't wait. It will be a little hard because Abby won't be home too much during that time. She gets to spend quite a bit of time with her dad. Mike is staying for two weeks and I think Abby is only going to be here for about six days of that. But that's ok. We will have fun with the time we have! Always do!!
Lastly, I really want to thank all my WONDERFUL friends!! I've been struggling quite a bit and quite a few of you have helped me in more ways than I can tell you. I really do love you all!!
I love the gospel in my life! I am grateful for wonderful family and friends and most of all for the atonement and the love I feel from my father in heaven. There really isn't anything better. I know he's always there for me and I want to thank him for bring such awesome people into my life!!
Thank You!!!
(I found a few pictures, so hopefully its not completely boring!)

quick update...

The next eight days are sad days for me. Abby is in Utah with my mom celebrating my grandma's 90th birthday! When I was a kid I only had a couple of opportunities to travel to Utah and visit with family. ALL of my family is out in Utah. Everyone on my mom's side and dad's side (give or take a few). So, I wanted Abby to be able to visit with them as much as she could and especially her great-grandma, since she is turning 90!! So she's out there till next Wednesday having a blast!! Her and my mom always do!! It's kind of nice, it gives me a chance to get a lot of my homework done...like two papers and a econ project! But I miss her dearly and can't wait for her to come home!! But I'm glad she got to go and PARTY!! (my family members are party animals!!!) ;)

HAVE FUN!!!!
(don't scare her too much with gingerbread man!)

It was time for a change...

Before...

I wanted to do something for myself and needed a change so I cut my hair!! I like it, I do like it long but it grows back ;) I haven't had too much time to be able to play with it and find new ways to do it, but I'm planning on it.
More to come soon...;)

October

Crazy Hair day at school.

Trunk or Treat

Pumpkin Carving...I take the pumpkin carving very seriously!! Abby, not so much! She was kinda grossed out with the insides!! ;)

I'm still here...

Where do I begin...
These past few weeks have been crazy. School is really kickin my behind this semester! Luckily it's almost over...or I like to think it is. It's my economics and geography class that I need to be doing better in, and I will! I've decided that teaching isn't for me. I'm back to a business major and I'm happy with that. I should be in the business program next fall, I only have two classes I have to take to be in the program and I'm taking those in the spring. So, on that note, school is going good for me just stressful. Abby is still loving school. She's had a little trouble these past few days, I'm not sure whats going on. I think she's been fightin the flu or something. She did have a fever last night. Poor kid, she's always sick on holidays!!
Speaking of holidays, Christmas is coming!! (and fast) I'm SO excited about Christmas! Mike and Rachel and Skyler will be here for two weeks!! I need Mike here, I miss him a lot right now! It will be nice to have them here with us! On the other hand, the holidays are really starting to make me sad. Abby will be with Sam for thanksgiving this year. This is my first year without her with me. I'm not sure how I'm going to do with that, but I don't really have a choice. We were doing our calenders and Abby will be one for 2/3's of the month of November. My dad will only see her for about a week for the entire month!! She and my Mom are going to Utah for my grandma's 90th birthday. I really wanted Abby to go so she can have the opportunity to get to know grandma great ( I never had that opportunity) I want her to know her relatives in Utah. So, they are going for a week and a half and while they are gone my dad goes on a work trip so I'll be home alone for a few days!! Thrilled about that!! (i think!;)) but then with thanksgiving and Sam's weekends she's not home very much! :( We'll see how I do with that.
These past few weeks have been really hard on me. (now we get to the good stuff) I'm not good at talking and that's not a good thing. I have to many things happening right now and I really don't want to burden anyone with my problems. I'm really struggling with this right now, especially with my father in heaven. It's not like he doesn't already have a lot happening, I feel he doesn't need to worry about my problems, I can take care of them by myself. And I know, that's wrong! I can't! I'm realizing this. It's just so hard to put my burdens on someone else! So, I hold it in and its really affecting me now. Abby also, she can always tell when something is going on! I hate that about kids! They always know whats going on even when I don't!! ;) I'm in a rut. A deep one. I feel so deep that I can't dig my way out right now. It's really affecting me physically, mentally and spiritually. I've gained about 15 pounds back. That really hurts because I've worked to get those pounds off and they come back so easily. I don't sleep anymore. I feel like I'm at where I was two years ago when Sam and I separated. No self-worth and that's hard to say. I'm struggling in school, that's usually not an issue for me.
I have been very blessed spiritually lately. New friends are being brought into my life to help with that. I've had the chance to hear two general authorities and soon an apostle! They have really been talking to the young singles a lot lately. With that said, yes, I'm still single. I'm happy with that. I need to learn to take care of myself before I can take care of someone else (besides Abby) I want to love myself before someone else loves me. It's not the right time for me to date right now, and I'm glad I feel that way. I have a ton of amazing guy friends that are very supportive and I'm so glad for that! I have a ton of amazing friends all together! I'm so thankful for them and all they do to help me!! Even if they think they aren't, they are!!
Well, that's enough of the depressing stuff. My life really is fun, and I'm glad for that!!
I hope everyone is GREAT and SMILES everyDAY!!! :)

(i should really start a journal! ;))

I'm back baby!

Man! The last few weeks have been crazy!! First I had my cold, which knocked me out for a week then during that week on Thursday night I got the stomach flu!! It was awful!! Worst pain I have ever felt!!! OUCH! So I was throwing up all night Thursday night and Abby went to her Dads house that weekend and I literally spent the whole weekend in bed recovering!! It really was bad! I had never had my stomach hurt that bad! So I finally started to recover from that and this past week I've spent catching up from being sick! So that's what I've been up too. We did go camping this past weekend! That was fun. Morgan came with us and it was the first time she had ever been camping and I must say she did pretty good! One thing I do have to mention, we were talking on the way and she said I didn't seem like the outdoors type!! I was shocked and I must say very disappointed! I love the outdoors!! I totally thought I was a outdoors person!! I still like to think I am, but I guess its also a nice thing, I'm not sure how, but it's always good to look at the good side of things. ;)

On another note, Conference rocked this weekend!!
